Ive never posted on this sub, or really on reddit at all. But I am just so done and needed to rant. If any of you have seen this show, only watch this part if you want to get upset. The main character colt is being strung along by a girl named Abby. She says that she will break up with her fiance and be with Colt. Well she keeps putting it off and putting it off. So, he goes and hooks up with another girl. Of course, she arrives at his house about the time this other girl was leaving. Abby proceeds to tell Colt that she has finally broken up with her fiance, but gets all upset seeing the other girl leaving Colt's home.

Now my problem is that this show is supposed to be about masculinity and male humor. However, Colt is made out to be the bad guy because he won't sit around and wait for this damn woman to make up her mind. Now I am guessing the rest of this season is going to be about Colt having to win back her affection. It is just like fuck, it is okay for a girl to string someone out and then get to play the victim when her actions come back to haunt her. Women aren't expected to have to live with the consequences of their actions, and it is so normalized into mainstream society. Also, if you reverse the genders most people would then be able to still find fault with the males action.

As an aside, there is an offhanded joke about a girl keying the wrong mans truck to get back at an ex boyfriend. This is just laughed off of course.

I don't know if this is the right thing to post here, but it was the only place I could think of where I could rant about this.
