Are they even worth trying? (self.MGTOW)

Hello, I am 17 years old guy, never had a girlfriend, but I think about it a lot(less than before though) to the point that it often depresses me, because for a long time, it was my only real desire.(I have no other desires)

Through those two years I learnt that all the "beautiful things" about women(that I need them, romance, et cetera) are just Hollywood and other people lying to me, since childhood(That is hard influence to break, kids are influenced easily)

I also learnt that female nature is very toxic to a man and that big part of having a relationship is sex anyway.

I have been struggling with those things a lot, thought about it so often, because as I said: I basically lost my only "desire" and that was crushing me.

But I accepted it... mostly. I still want to believe that there is "the special woman"(foolish, I know). Smart, loyal, caring, fun, interesting... I don't even know. Is that even real? Are they worth the risk? I don't mean girls my age, not interested in dating those(various reasons, not developed personalities anyway). If I will date, then it will be in my 20s - and that is limited even more because of my own moral reasons I'd rather not say here, because I'd be mocked. I also highly value personal freedom and I have feeling that they really limit that. I actually see that, as I observed men in our family. Women control their time, argue, don't let them go places, control even their MONEY. I feel sorry for them.

So my question is simple. Are relationships even worth trying? I should say that the sexual part is not very important for me, I wanted it mainly because of "companionship"... Wouldn't a dog be better for that? heh

Haha, writing a lot. Sorry if my writing is confusing, and sorry if my grammar is wrong sometimes. I just can't put my thoughts "on paper" properly and English is my second language.

Edit: Forgot to say, this "problem" is only thing preventing me from being real MGTOW, because society + people's opinions about me don't really concern me.

Dude you're young, and you are raging with hormones. You say you are not super attractive, based on how you view yourself or how others treat you? I was in your shoes , and believe me when I say it's no fun watching the cool guys getting all the girls and you just stand watching. Get a girlfriend if you can, so you can get experience and not hate women like some on here do.since you are in 9th grade, girls are also just developing so therefore you are at no risk of many dangers they bring later on. But if you find it difficult to get a girlfriend . IT IS OK. As girls today are loose and hypergamous than ever. It's okay to masturbate. But keep it civilized , maybe once every three days. Find a gym and workout. Get strong. Find hobbies, good ones and stick with it.whatever it is you want to do with your life, find an older gentleman going the same thing and ask if he can be your mentor. Read philosophy. Do not under any circumstances talk about MGTOW to anyone . Go to YouTube and watch old videos of Thinking Ape" and all videos of "barbarosa ". Good luck.

If you can afford it. Do it. But that means, food, cleaning, commitment. Basically a relationship.. except dogs love you unconditionally.. Unless you stop feeding it.

Also try to fill your time with hobbies or activities with friends, research, reading, writing, working out, schooling, etc. Positive things that ultimately pay off.

You're ahead of the curve at 17, but you should experience the joy and sometimes guilt of sex. Explore it as much as reasonably possible without making yourself too vulnerable to female manipulation. That's all it's really about, enjoying life's pleasure without being controlled by the pussy, but rather controlling your emotions so that you do not become a slave to it.
