It sucks that he's leading a bunch of impressionable kids down a toxic path just for views

Agreed. He got on Salads for stoking racist division, meanwhile he is doing the exact same thing.

I'll just have to wait until he stops being so "triggered" 24/7

How is he stoking racist division? (Genuine question, not trying to disagree)

Let me take a shot at it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. That MTV video about white guys and the reaction to it is going to make his mostly white and male viewer base feel as though they are being unjustly targeted by le SJW's. So it leads to this feeling that racism is only important if it is towards white dudes. And you may notice how when dealing with that dirt bag Joey Salads he was real delicate and not trying to scold him too much. But with these vids it's the full on reactionary. Ethan truly perplexes me.

Thank you for this.

Didn't want to type out that wall of text during Christmas morning lol

Surely MTV would be the ones stoking racial division, no?

Seeing a h3h3 video on the front page of KotakuInAction killed me. It's how I imagine Obi-Wan felt when Anakin went to the dark side.

I hate to be one of those people, but I really do miss the old reactions to dunb things like diamond water or people fucking roller coasters. It was a purer time :/

honestly yeah, I agree. I'd be so happy if they'd just continued making the casual videos on the Ethan and Hila channel, everything's so political now.

Yup, I had to unsubscribe. I miss the old playful videos that were just poking fun at stupid or silly things. Now it's a lot of anti sjw stuff and it attracts the most toxic people on the internet.

The feeding the homeless reaction video was so sooo good

This is full feature white fragility.

In a world where we have entire subs dedicated to black stereotypes like absent dads, robbing stores, raping women, on welfare, cant read, all talk eubonic,

And MTV says "white guys, yall privledged"

And white people are crying racism, white genocide, ess dunya jays

So, I've seen the name thrown around enough recently to be curious, but I don't care enough to look it up on my own...So, I'll just ask - what the hell is an h3h3?

Youtuber. He used to do reaction videos that weren't just run-of-the-mill, but featured a lot of commentary, editing, and original humor. I don't want to call them reaction videos because they were much higher quality, but that's basically what they were.

However, as he has gotten more and more popular, he's sort of turned into a drama-alert type channel with a lot of "e-justice" videos. He has also been making a lot of "dae sjws" type videos lately.

If you know IHE, GradeA, etc. demographic -- yeah, he's pretty much becoming part of that.

Is IHE part of that? I've pretty much just watched his "search for the worst" series, and while he makes a few 'triggered' jokes, he hasn't seemed too bad. Is there something I'm missing?

IHE's pretty progressive. I remember when he got slammed for saying everyone should be a feminist, for example. It was his own audience against him on that though, so his audience probably does overlap somewhere.

IHE himself is a pretty cool guy.

I mean you have a pretty clear picture of how toxic these people get when he had to make an apology video just for saying that everyone should consider themselves a feminist in the context of men and women having equal rights

I really liked his mattyB/Juicy vid.

wait really? that's where the name came from?

It's the first name initials of the two people on the show, Ethan and Hila. HEHE was taken when they made the account, so they settled with H3H3.

I think they talked about it on one of their Q&A videos.
