EnoughTrumpSpam was never about ending Trump spam. It's simply an anti-Trump subreddit (with emphasis on sub).
EDIT: Really, the very idea of the sub is hilariously moronic. If you think Trump posts are cluttering up r/all, the only sensible solution is to go to T_D and downvote posts. What logic is there in creating a second ADDITIONAL Trump-devoted subreddit and spamming up r/all with even more Trump posts?

That sounds about right. I remember back in 2011-2012 always being on the defensive and nobody would get off their ass and do something about it. There were a few low-energy attempts/scams but nothing got anywhere.

Assuming these weren't also paid shills from that timeframe, the common argument used against Ron Paul was that he was a "racist". They constantly recycled the debunked "Ron Paul Newsletters", a few of which contained some content that could be considered racist and inflammatory. He didn't actually write the articles himself.

Most people are headline lurkers, don't read the comments or the article. So, I'd argue, the whole point of EnoughTrumpSpam is to spam anti-trump headlines that people will absorb because it aligns with their feels. Propaganda propagates propaganda, the dankest source being your neighbors, family, coworkers, fellow redditors, etc. Us.

Here's a typical breakdown of what the front page of ETS looks like on any given day and tell me it doesn't seem kinda shady....
1 post with 10k or more upvotes and at the top of r/all
2 posts with a little over 1k upvotes
22 posts hovering around 400-600 upvotes

        Posts from this subreddit have to hit obscene levels of upvotes at this point just to be seen at all, and even then, they rapidly disappear. Hands down, I have seen "Enough Trump Spam" routinely hit /r/all more than us while being 18% of the size with far less active readers.

Our stickies don't show up on /r/all, but they still take up one of our /r/all slots.* I don't claim to know how the algorithm works, but let's just say every subreddit is allow three slots on /r/all; if the stickies are taking up two of them, we only have a shot of one submission showing up at any given time for people who don't subscribe.

        Correct, I even admitted it is possible in the top post of this thread that used to be there until it was automatically deleted for mentioning the CEO's name - another one of the fun little censorship things we have to deal with here. When we have stickies up, it goes invisible to /r/all and even takes one of the spots for visible ones. This rule is only in effect for us.

        I actually conceded in the top post that it's possible to get to the top page but extremely difficult.
        However, when I edited my post and mentioned the CEO's name REMOVED , my post was automatically deleted from view. It looked like it was still there for me, but when I signed out, all other people see a post that says "deleted". The only reason you can see this post is because I added apostrophes to REMOVED. The censorship around here is such fucking bullshit.

        The mods in t_d constantly sticky new posts 24/7 so nearly every worthwhile post gets stickied at some point and is then invisible to r/all. Since the changes, posts are rarely seen on r/all and the ones that do aren't even the most popular posts on the t_d sub, like this one, for example.

        Manipulation is not the wrong descriptive term. Say a person censors others at a great extent and also complains about being censored at the same time. Well the context should seem to matter in such a situation and apparently in the past it hasn't for this sub. I shouldn't have to try and reference to what I am talking about to much, this sub was a 'bigly' censor of people. Manipulation is the word that would be used, in this situation, especially when information is prohibited and the output of information is also prohibited. This sub has been deceitful and it has been trying to scapegoat the admins and others of Reddit. And then it has been banning the general mass of the site at the same time.
        This sort of action is deceitful. And in this case also manipulative. And also unequal towards others. So in closing, if you want to ask others to act a certain way then it best be that you act that way first.

        The purpose of this subreddit was for Trump supporters. This has always been the purpose since its creation.
        The purpose of reddit in general was to facilitate free and open discussion. The original CEO was a major advocate for that before he died. This constant conflating a subreddit with the entirety of reddit is deceitful to me as well.
        Your opinion is that we are deceitful, and you're entitled to that. However, facts tend to get in the way of your claim that we are specifically trying to "scapegoat" the admins. The previous CEO of reddit straight up said that the current CEO should be FIRED for what he pulled on The_Donald. Chat logs also show a coordinated effort to do exactly the things we were complaining about admins doing. These are independently verifiable facts.
