He did play shit in that Swansea game last season when we lost at home and De Gea wasn't playing. De Gea would have saved that and we might have had Champions league this year which means that LVG would probably still be here which means Jose wouldn't be and we would have been playing shit football anyway. So I guess Romero is a genius and changed the course of history single handedly, literally he tried to save the goal it with his left hand but couldn't/didn't.

If by world class, you mean that he played in the world cup, then yes. Otherwise, not in the top 5 keepers in the world or 10 or 30.

In fairness, 'world class' is poorly defined at the best of times and is especially hard for goalkeepers. Do you have to be the literal best in the world? Just good enough to play for a national team? Just vaguely 'good enough' above some arbitrary bar?

For outsiders, Carrick. It seems the only people who appreciate his brilliance is us United fans. Absolutely ridiculous how he wasn't called up for England. He'd have helped them so much.

I would like to nominate three lungs park to this cause. He was so vital in those title winning seasons. I remember him as one of those pieces in a unit that is not shiniest but is very important. Also he loved scoring against big teams.

Park Ji-sung is my favorite player of all time. Loved seeing him always scoring against Arsenal. Really miss watching him play

Wes Brown. Looked at as a weak link in our defense but played out of skin the entire 08-09 season. Solid at the back and could cross a mean ball when he needed to
