Do you ever wonder if the transmisogyny among GC'ers is compounded by their hatred of traditional western femininity? Their disgusted descriptions of trans women always seem to include hyper feminine presentation (makeup, heels, etc) which are things that they claim are oppressive when women use them.

So if femininity is "bad" for women, does that make their disdain for trans women worse because they're participating in femininity?

The reality is that they should at least not care if trans women are performing femininity, because apparently it was designed by men, for men.
At best, they should be applauding it, because if men are doing it, then it takes all the heat of 'real wimminz', who can then wear blue jeans, Birkenstocks and plaid shirts.

I agree, but I think their theory is that trans women are somehow stealing womanhood away from baby-making women, and by doing so continuing to reinforce their male definition of femininity.
