Much talk has been laid out on how Weigl is considered to be the ideal Carrick replacement. He has recently signed a new contract with BVB committing him to the club until 2021. So lets not talk about that.

As of now, it looks like Schneiderlin is on his way out, probably Bastian too. With Lindelof rumors circulating, do we need to get any defensive midfielders as a back up for Carrick? or do we finally see Blind take up that spot?

I personally feel we should be looking for atleast one midfield signing if Schmidfield is to depart. Who could we sign? I know Krychowiak just recently signed for PSG, but seemingly he isn't fitting well into their system. To be honest I have seen him play only a few times and he looked rock solid. For those who follow him, would he be a good signing for us? If not, which game breaker could we aim for?
