Rules		Description
0. Videos Only		Self explanatory. Audio over a static image or slideshow may also violate Rule 0.
1. No Politics		Political videos—including content relating to social issues which have a clear political element—should be submitted to /r/PoliticalVideo. This includes submissions of current or recent political figures in any context, satire/political-comedy, and posts on political topics from within the last 10 years.
2. No Personal Information		Such as names, Facebook pages, phone numbers, addresses, etc. This can also include contact information of public officials or groups (see rule 3). This is grounds for an immediate (and likely permanent) ban, so consider this a warning.
3. No Witch-Hunting		Or incitement to witch-hunt. This means no demanding "Reddit Justice" in any way in post titles or comments. This also includes posting contact information of public officials or groups in an any manner that could be seen as an attempt to get users to contact them.
4. No Videos of Police Brutality or Police Harassment		Consider submitting those to a different subreddit, like /r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut or elsewhere.
5. Submit Direct Link to Video		No web pages that only embed Youtube or Vimeo videos. No URL shorteners. No links to playlists or to channel pages.
6. No Porn or Gore		There are many other subreddits for such content.
7. No Solicitation of Votes or Views. No Asking for Votes or Sharing Submission Links On or Off-Site (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)		Violations can lead to a permanent ban of accounts and video channels.
8. No Hate Speech		You are free to offer your opinion respectfully, but comments or posts intended to demean a group, acontextual expressions of bigotry, and the pejorative use of slurs is disallowed.
9. No Videos of Real-Life, Malicious, Person-On-Person Assault/Battery or Physical Abuse of Animals		This includes raw videos of fights.
10. No Third Party Licensing		No videos that are licensed by a third party. Videos that become licensed after they are posted will be removed. Please see this thread for a more detailed explanation.

A couple of things I can think of.

People are free to dump their idiotic and uneducated opinions about things like vaccines, climate change, and others. These opinions sway other people, and that influences their actions, and those actions set back the country.

Another specific example I can think of is mass shootings. There has been more than one psychologist who believe that the 24/7 coverage of these events, blaring the shooter's name, body count, etc only glorifies violence further and encourages more shootings.

So, the question would be whether it's worth maintaining free speech in the face of these kind of situations, and most people say yes. Others may suggest there should be certain restrictions on potentially damaging speech, but that can turn into a pretty slippery situation, until you have police telling you to take down the Christmas dick on your roof.

Yes.

The UK has no absolute right to free speech. While swearing in public isn't illegal, 5(1) and (6) of the Public Order Act 1986 and breach of the peace in Scotland give police sweeping powers to arrest people swearing or being offensive in public.

A person is guilty of an offence if he:

uses threatening (or abusive) words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or

displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening (or abusive),

within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.

.

This offence has the following statutory defences:

The defendant had no reason to believe that there was any person within hearing or sight who was likely to be alarmed or distressed by his action.

The defendant was in a dwelling and had no reason to believe that his behaviour would be seen or heard by any person outside any dwelling.

The conduct was reasonable.

PS - In practice most of the time if you get arrested, you'll get a ticket, and be released the following morning. They don't prosecute or send you to jail for Harassment, alarm or distress. Only approx 1K/year prosecutions are even brought (since the others are presumably dealt with through on the spot fines or the individual is released without charge).
