I keep seeing posts and comments talking about why Trump won, everyone blaming the democrats for not picking Bernie, or blaming the pollsters for being inaccurate, people blaming whites for going against their interest.
The fact of the matter is that the pollsters didn't lie and working class whites didn't come out in droves to vote for Trump, the same number of people that came out for Romney came out for Trump, they are the Republican base who don't care about the issues or the candidate and vote for anyone with an R next to their name.
Hillary had clear leads and advantages in every state that she was projected to win. The problem was that most of the people who said they supported her in the polls, didn't actually take the time to go out and vote because the idea of a Trump presidency was so ridiculous compared to a Romney or McCain one that they didn't feel like they needed to because Trump had no chance of winning.
This isn't anyone's fault this is a lesson about why we can't get complacent.
