For me it was the early 2000s, I'm Dutch and van Nistelrooy at the time was my favourite player (I was only about 10 then). By the time he left the club I'd been hooked.

It's bad bad under Moyes. My best friend from UK has been an avid fan since 99 GA cup and we started watching all the games. I was hooked by the history of the club and I knew it would be hard to replicate their framer glory (I'm a huge Bulls fan in NBA so Phil Jackson and SAF have a lot of similarities in winning in this case) I was hooked. Falcao was my favorite player too which sealed the deal a little as well

Probably in about 1995 when I was 6 years old. My Dad supports City but my Granddad supported United.

My Granddad got in there first and took me to Old Trafford to see the U21s play and I ended up picking United over City. To be fair it must have been quite easy to convince a 6 year old to support United when they're winning the double with Cantona than City who were on the way to relegation.

About from 2001, it all started after i watched the 1998 world cup on national tv as a 9 year old and fell absolutely in love with the game. But we were poor so we didn't have cable up until 2001 then United matches were always on the telly(I'm from india btw) though i had no idea what United was, but i absolutely loved the way they played specially Beckham and Scholes with all those screamers :)

I was hooked and by 2004 i was truly a red and bought my 1st man utd t shirt with Rooney at the back

Final year of the old first division, so 91/92. I started following them because my friend at school did, so I wanted to be cool lol but it wasn't long before I really got into them for myself. 26/27 years later and that friend is long gone but United isn't.

Erm 1990.

I vaguely remember the 1992 season though, and then from there it was collar popping time copying Cantona.

So that's 26 years. Whew! Thanks for making me feel old.
