          No that's a valid point though. Unclipping would have to be rather easy or he'd be a large drowning risk. Big wave surfers fall all the time. This is dangerous, even with jet skiers ready to save him.

                Ever tried skating without a hockey stick? This is probably an example best known to Canadian prairie types but I can definitely empathize with needing the prop you're used to. I feel so off balance on ice without a hockey stick.

                    I used to do something similar on the talus slopes of Pikes Peak. We bought the little shorty learners skis and would ski down the talus from one switch back to the next on acid. It was a blast but we got a bit fucked up.
