Anarchists are more nationalistic than CPUSA?

The chart can't be wrong. I must've missed that seminar at orientation, lol

Anarchists are more nationalistic than 3rd wave feminists. Looks like we gotta come up with some other slogan than "no borders, no nations" I guess.

[–]emma-_______quarks freely associate with gluons in subatomic capitalism

And barely less nationalist than the GOP.

Ted Cruz, that famous anarchist!

Bakunin is smiling at him from the heavens! I mean. If Bakunin believed in Heaven, which I think is fairly unlikely.

Also, given how far into "reasonable" territory the Roman Empire, Sparta, Pinochet, Golden Dawn and Franco are, this chart was quite clearly made by a fascist.

Also, lol @ CSA being in sustainable territory when they only lasted 4 years (compare USSR, deep into unsustainable but lasted nearly 70).

I was expecting to see Trump somewhere in there, frankly, given he's the darling of modern fascists.

Ah, that'll do it. Fair enough, the GOP was much more (((globalist))), as the fascists would put it, back then.

I get the impression some of the more, uh, intellectual fascists are already disillusioned with him. No jail for Hillary, no physical barrier with Mexico, and second thoughts about the deportations.

I read "Sparts" instead of Sparta and I was really confused about this guy's politics. Like a Nazbol, but with Trotskyism instead of Marxism-Leninism? But that's much clearer.

The Roman Empire wasn't really fascist, though... Not sure if Sparta would fall under it either.

[–]occams_nightmareSchrodinger's Politic 15 ポイント16 ポイント  (1子コメント)

No, but those ignorant enough to want to resurrect fascism in this day and age are usually dumb enough to think they were.

That's unfortunate and troubling.

DAE globalists with their unsustainable policies??

Judging by where they put First Wave Feminism, I imagine the author has a "Repeal the 19th!" bumper sticker.

And yes, I have seen such a bumper sticker in the wild.

My grandfather has one of those stickers. He also said that he's gonna make sure that the presidency doesn't go to a woman ever in his life time.

Pretty sure the guy who made it is some alt right kid based on the demonstration. I like how completely biased the labels are.

And 1st wave feminism. Meaning North Korea is more realistic than the idea of women getting to vote.

Sparta had sustainable policies? Really? Their economy collapsed because they had inalienable land holdings which impoverished most citizens and led to inefficient agriculture. Their birthrate collapsed horribly by the time of the battle of Leucatra.

I imagine his line of thinking was something along the lines of "Sparta was generally thought of as bad, but I'm rational and not emotional so I have to think Sparta was good. Just forced political incorrectness or edginess.

It's far more complicated than that. Notice that "Old Persian Empire" is also on the chart.

This is a sign that he got all of his knowledge of that time period from the movie "300". I'm guessing that he assigned them to positions on the chart based on specific plot points from the movie.

I don't think Sparta is generally thought of as bad though - Generally speaking they're the cool military guys compared to bland and boring Athens.

I don't really think Sparta was "bad" in comparison with Athens, and I think it's definitely an interesting model, but it clearly had failures.

I have to say, I've never seen the Old Persian Empire on one of these charts before. At least this fascist asshole has a somewhat larger reference pool than others of their ilk?

[–]ChicaneryBearVoted for Kodos 8

he's just seen 300

Equating "the more authoritarian, the more realistic" is really demonstrably wrong in any sense of the word. What kind of simplistic view is that? It has neither theoretical nor practical/empirical backing.

Everyone who has ever studied politics and political issues a bit should know that the real world is way more complicated than this.

Also, are they trying to co-opt "sustainable" now, too? And isn't libertarian kind of self-contradictory, or lacking some consistency at least?

[–]AonghusMacKilkennySocial Democrat 2

These people have never actually taken a political science or sociology course, have they? This is based on absolutely nothing other than some fascist's feelings.

I heard an interesting argument against historical women's suffrage, basically it implies a woman could run for minister of war, which would be silly if women could not apply for frontline combat.

What do people here think of that?

Uhh, Sparta was an independent city state with its own government like most other cities. Athens was their biggest rival.
