                                                                                                          Fun fact! There are three requirements for a rifle to be an assault rifle:

                                                                                                          -Selective fire

                                                                                                          -An intermediate cartridge

                                                                                                          -Removable magazines.

                                                                                                          The Barrett rifle that was delivered is chambered in 50.BMG (not an intermediate cartridge) and is incapable of selective fire. in fact, it isn't even semi-automatic, as is claimed by every news source which has covered it. it's actually bolt action. the only thing it has in common with "muh scary assault rifles" is a removable magazine.

The TV told me if it isn't a pistol, revolver, shotgun or a hunting rifle with a wooden stock... Then it is an assault rifle, is probably fully auto or can be modified to be full auto with a paper clip... And they are the only possible way for someone to kill someone else, thus banning them would solve all murder. TV wouldn't lie.

                                                                                                          Hate that everywhere seems to think a pistol grip makes a gun more dangerous somehow. My first rifle was an Uberti Sporting Winchester replica. It's got a stock which bends into what is essentially a pistol grip, but that's okay. But if I want to acquire one of the old cadet rifles I trained on, that's a whole load of bullshit I have to go through because "ooh, it's a military gun. It's bullpup, and has camo and a pistol grip and stuff. It's, like, super scary!".
