As someone who has grown up in the Deep South; Mideastern Alabama to be specific as well as going to college in Hattiesburg Mississippi... I hear the n word tossed around a lot. There a ton of racist people here, who justify it by saying things like "I don't hate black people, I just hate n***ers" and honestly if I were black, it would piss me off in any situation where someone said it. I don't care if it's accidental, unintentional, whatever. It's inexcusable. I've spoken with black friends and they say they've come to ignore it when it happens, and shrug it off, but that it still hurts. It isn't the word that hurts, It's a reminder that their ancestors probably had miserable lives of labor and discrimination. It's like if your parents died of cancer, something they couldn't help, and every few days or weeks you ran into someone on the street who spoke a word that instantly brought memories of your parents deaths flooding back, all the while trying to use it as a way to devalue you in society. If you're someone who uses the n word, please think about that. Words like the n word need to be wiped from all peoples vocabularies.

He has had me banned in his chat and blocked on twitter for a while but I hope this is the last I see of him. Exactly this. I take no offense to the word personally but we all know and should know that it's something that shouldn't be said in a hurtful manner. Nick has done a lot of good things, but that won't stop him from being just a giant asshole, who enables younger kids to be assholes as well. I want him to be successful just for his Wife, and Children but he honestly needs to get whipped into shape.

It's not up to me to accept an apology of course, but if he takes initiative and apologises unconditionally, donates to causes dedicated to ending racism and so on, then I won't have an issue with watching his content. If however, he takes the opportunity to play the victim and act as if everyone else is overreacting then fuck him.

Here's my opinion:

In terms of an overall guy, I'm not overly fussed on him. I never really keep up to date with his content, I'm not the biggest fan of his personality but he seems like a pretty laid back dude at times. I sometimes throw his stream up if I want some background stuff on but it's rare that I do. I don't dislike him but I don't really like him either.

As for this whole racist situation, I think he's dealing with it awfully. Firstly, I just want to add that I don't think he's a full on active racist. People are going around calling him a racist but I think that's a big jump from hearing him using 1 racist slur on stream. However, I don't at all think he was meant to say 'nincompoop', I think that's a stupid cover up, even if he does say it a lot. Those are 2 complete different words that share 2 letters.

I think he shouldn't keep the VOD up, even if it is to stand your ground. It's a racist slur, accidental or not, you should be aiming to offend as less people as possible, even if you didn't mean it. Leaving the VOD up just means more people are going to fluctuate to it and see/hear it. I think it's a stupid decision to do that. The fact he said it, covered his mouth, then 'corrected' himself after was enough to tell me that was deliberate and not a 'slip of the tongue'. You don't mix a word up with another when it has a different number of syllables.

The only reason I can think, if he genuinely did mix those words up, is that he uses 'nincompoop' as a cover for the that other word. You know, like how when you want to say 'fuck' around kids but say 'flip' instead. Same principle.

I personally like Nick. I watch his streams and his content on YT. As for your first point, I have seen people swear in his chat and not get banned. The banned words are 'fix' and 'angry', those kinds of things.

As for other banned words... I'll try to be as impartial as can be. It's an awful word to use and should never be thrown around so casually; even if it was ChuBoi saying "Nice clearance, my nincompoop" and for that there will undoubtedly be ramifications.

Will it affect my watching him? No. In the circumstances I would be tilted to fuck at that attempt at a clearance from Bailly and I'm sure if Nick could turn back the clock and not say that he would have. He was clearly apologetic, but like I said he'll have to do a hell of a lot to win people over.

That's just my opinion.

I had won one of his coin giveaway back around Fifa 14. Do mind me that it was my first time winning a giveaway like this so I didn't really know to do it. After a few attempts with no help whatsoever, he decided to redraw a winner while his fanbase comes up insulting through Twitter and himself. As the right thing to do, I apologised just to get a tweet from him saying no worries and that he'll still give me some coins later and to this day I still haven't received anything. All of this for a measly amount of 50k coins.

Didn't know him before. Just watched a replay of one of his streams for a few minutes to learn who is the person everybody is talking about.. I don't get why he has so many fans. This guy is an absolute asshole. You can see how bored he is when he streams.. the way he talks and act.. he didn't love the game or the people watching him or streaming in general. He does it all for the money only.

I personally have a differing opinion to you on Nick. I've watched his streams for nearly 3 years now and have got to know him really well (on a persona level I would say). What he said last night was completely unacceptable and I'm not going to tolerate that. BUT. I know that there is not a single bit of racist blood in him. He made a pretty big mistake, but I'm going to forgive him. He's owed up to his mistakes and I hope we're all willing to give him another chance

I really do enjoy watching Nick's streams until he goes into a game, then he turns into a 10 year old screaming at everything in the game not working out for him, when the shit he tries wouldn't work IRL and he preaches about a realisitic game. I got banned by him on Twitter once, for being one of probably 100 people who asked if he was streaming on a specific day because he was late, and I'm perma banned in his chat because I saw Nick was losing a game, and asked if he should be winning. Morally the guy has some serious issues

I honestly think the hate on Nick is a bit too much. Yes, he is a hypocrite in banning people. So what? I understand he swears while playing the game, because fifa is tilting him. I also understand he does not want his chat to be full of swearing, because that would make the chat very unkind. Also, he gets tons of abuse, so I do not blame him for unrightfully blocking someone every now and then: if you have to block a hundred accounts a day, you can make mistakes. Him making a dick move in a final is filthy, absolutely. However, if you disregard someone completely for making such a c*nt move once in hundreds of hours of fifa streaming, I can live with that. Same for his racist comment, that has been blown up excessively. This man has to be politically correct for 6-10 hours a day nearly every day. Some people may do that with ease, I personally would not be able to do that easily. Not saying I'm racist (I'm genuinely not), I just make a racist joke with my friends now and then. I could completely imagine this is the same with Nick. He always loses his mind completely while playing the game, so in the state he is in at that moment, I could imagine accidentally saying such a thing.

Keep in mind Nick is just a human being, with many flaws, like we all are. He can do stupid things some time, but him saying one or two racist things (and even tries to correct himself after doing so) and making a few cunt moves in hundreds and hundreds of hours of streaming, is not that bad.

Disclaimer: I'm not his biggest fanboy trying to defend him, I hardly ever watch him nowadays because I do not enjoy most of his content. I just think the hate on him is disproportional and people should try and look at it from his point of view.

There is this amount of scrutiny that these YT'bers & streamers are under. They cant ever act their normal selves when broadcasting out. Would you as a viewer prefer watch someone who is actually being themselves? Or this false persona of "heh guys, im such a nice guy and i would never hurt a fly"

The comment Nick made if intentional or not, does not therefore make him a racist for saying it.
People really live in bubbles if you think that. Yet the number of times KSI has dropped the "N" word. But does this get accepted because he is black? Or someone calling someone a ginger .... Is that accepted as well? Hell, i have even been called some things on here before. Some people have an obsession with calling another autistic. Yet is this acceptable?

With Nick and Nepenthez who i will use as main examples. They come across as decent people. But other times, their reaction to matters like instant banning. Whether it's on Twitter or through their stream does them no favours. Their core demographic of followers are probably younger people. Who are probably immature. You can see this from their chat in their streams. So really they ought to expect whatever crap gets thrown their way through social media.

Either way this will all blow other and people will soon forget about the whole matter.

I think you're just jumping on the bandwagon to just spew more hate into this already toxic community. In regards to your arguments;

1) He is not a hypocrite for banning people in his chat for swearing, it is not like you use a swear word and get banned permanently. Also, you're lying to yourself if swear words such as "fck" and "sht" are not part of your everyday vocabulary, especially when playing FIFA, so how can you blame nick for using them (even to a large extent) within his stream when people like you harass him to the point of being titled.

2) Nick is able to say whatever he wants to on twitter as for the most part it is not directed at anyone (i.e. @'ing them). He blocks people because that is them directly @'ing him, and thus has the right to block people if he is constantly being harassed by them.

3) Is there a law that states you aren't able to message your opponent after a game if you lose to them in a cheesy way, or even dashboard to restrict them from getting the win? FIFA is not a game where the community acts to work together to be nice to each other. I guarantee anyone else who was as title as Nick in this situation would have done the same thing, or at least dashboarded, and once again you're lying to yourself if you wouldn't have done the same (and I can tell you would based on your toxicity)

4) Even if Nick did have the intention of saying "n*gger", I don't care who tells me that they've never used the word, you're straight up lying to everyone. I agree it was not the right thing to do on Nick's part, but it was just one of those situations where he lost control and said what he did in the spur of the moment. A racist is someone who believes one race is superior to another, and I have never heard Nick say nor imply that his race was superior to any other, so how can you just label him a 'racist'.

I 100% agree it was not a good thing for Nick to say, but just labelling him as an 'asshole' or 'racist' after one slip-up is totally unnecessary, I guess its just easy to forget all the good he has done not just for the community but general society in general over the past three years or so.... http://imgur.com/a/xxr0J
