What kind of player was Bryan Robson? (self.reddevils)

Been watching some old Man United highlights form the 80's and was curious as to what sort of midfielder he was? The fact that he wore the no.7 shirt leads me to presume he had some creative aspect to his game? Thanks.

Next to Sir Bob, he was arguably the most complete player we ever had. Think of a player who could tackle and drive the game like Keane and Veiria, but could also score like Lampard and Gerrard. Great with his head and arriving into the box and anticipating where the ball would fall.

I know plenty of United fans >40 who still rate him as better than Keane and Scholes when it comes to greatest United midfielders. If he didn't win as many trophies as the former, it says more about the teams he played in than him as a player. Had some bad shoulder injuries too.
