RVN's build up play is quite underrated. He had a brilliant first touch and awaraness. While not as insanely strong as Zlatan, he was much quicker.

Considering RVP scored on his debut and got a hattrick in the next game, he must have had some drought before Christmas. Funny I can't remember it, although I do remember his February drought that season.

Interesting stat.

I would have guessed Ronaldo in 08 and RVP in his first season would have had more goals, but then again Fergie teams usually shifted to 4th gear only around Xmas onwards.

I predicted to family and friends he would score 20, it was scoffed at. My United supporting uncle blew me away when he said "closer to 40", and I scoffed...
