Question about Ferguson (self.reddevils)

Dear devils, dutch fan here, can you explain to me which qualitys Ferguson has and why he was so good in picking and molding teams into a prize winning squad while coaches like Van Gaal and Mourinho struggle with this at manchester(or arent given the time). And how do you see Manchesters position and legacy if Ferguson never joined the club? would we still be this big?

Hope i didnt offend anyone, just a dutch guy with some questions and looking for somd insights

Man management was a huge factor. Fergie always got 110% out of his players. Not just this, but everyone played with real passion and put it all on the line. Moyes lost the dressing room, as did LvG to an extent. Mourinho is the closest manager I can think of that has the man management skills that Fergie had.
