I can only say that I find this true of many things in life. I've noticed a sharp increase in how often people act jealous of everything others like myself do. They are insecure and cannot be happy for a friend that they are doing well for themselves. Use to be that seeing someone else do well would motivate one to achieve that in their life. Not so much in today's world. It is also indicative of a lack of discipline. Makes one want to get rid of friends.
