The owner of Comet Ping Pong spoke out on Fox News tonight about the conspiracy theory surrounding his pizza restaurant that led a man with a gun to show up inside.

You may recall that #PizzaGate as the insane conspiracy theory that there is a child sex ring connected to this establishment and somehow also involves Hillary Clinton and John Podesta.

James Alefantis told Kelly he’s received lots of bizarre messages from people rambling about this nonsense, and even a cute photo he posted online of his godchild caused people to flip out and claim it as evidence.

Kelly said that this shows the serious consequences of fake news, saying someone could have been killed because people like Alex Jones “fanned a conspiracy theory.”

Alefantis said that it’s “a pack of lies and it’s dangerous,” bringing up how his staff is fearful now when they just want to do their jobs and serve pizza.

He did express gratitude that the community has rallied around them and talked with Kelly about what needs to be done about keeping something similar from happening again.
