One thing i am thankful for is i get to speak to my daughters every week and recently my exes piece of shit partner no longer listens at the door . They live 900 km from me . There’s a big difference between what men shouldn’t do and what men can’t do. A man absolutely CAN hit a girl. There may be consequences for him, but there will be consequences for her as well. I would start there with the difference between the words can’t and shouldn’t.
I might add that if you hit a man, the main reason that he shouldn’t hit you back is because you aren’t worth it. When you hit him, you have demonstrated to him that you are a piece of shit and that he should walk away and cut you from his life.
I would tell her that, from a man’s perspective, what men are telling other men is to not hit her, just leave her. I wouldn’t say you lost her, but as a father of two daughters myself, I would say that the hardest thing to get through a girl’s head today is the relationship between cause and effect. If she hits a boy and he hits her back, it may be wrong of him, but you caused it by hitting him.

Ask if they think it’s ok/fair that the older daughter can’t hit the younger daughter (back) for the same reason.
Ask them “Do you think it’s ok to hit your sister for any reason?”
