Apologies for the rant, but i'm so done with people putting the title so vague that we simply have to click to see what it's about, (and then even worse when it's absolute garbage when you end up reading), I'm only posting this as this week i've noticed it's been happening a lot more frequently, and it's mad annoying. Usually I can let one or two slip, but there's been like 10.

It's not even like we can just ignore the posts either, because you don't have any clue of the content before you click it, if only that it's just about "Jose Mourinho", or "Crystal Palace" or something as bad as "Will we....."

WILL WE WHAT? Just Let me know beforehand!!.... Man alive it riles me.

Can we try and prevent it somehow, it's nearly as bad as clickbait headlines.

Again, sorry for the rant, as a reward for getting this far, here's Teddy Sheringham's goals for his time at United, I needed it to just calm down a bit, was nice to watch a player that often goes unmentioned in here.

Half of the problem with this sub and all of reddit actually, is people like you that seems to just read the title and go off that as fact. And that's not a good idea because it's often out of context.

I don't quite follow you? as an example, How could I possibly read a title like "Jose Mourinho" and treat that just as fact, or instead why would i? I know that's his name already, it's not new information, of course it's fact, but why would I treat it so.

I'm not clicking to find out more about his name, forgive me, but I don't get your point there.

Also, I think it's more of a problem having titles with no information whatsoever than other issues that come to mind.

You're not telling me that by me ranting here is worse, when all of the decent subs that promote decent discussion put it their sidebars that titles have to have a minimum amount of information or else the Mods will remove it.

Ahhh, yeh I get that, if it's hyperlniked, fair play, that's better, i'm talking more about self posts though, rather than a link.

It's still better to not be so vague as well, a fair point man, didn't cross my mind to mention the "type" of post, my bad.

Was it irritating? That's how I feel, and why I did it that way.

Sorry man, I just want it to be addressed and felt this way was the more effective approach, I may have been wrong doing it like that but I dunno another solution.

Like I said, usually i'd ignore the posts, but when it's so vague you don't know what it's about, you kinda have to click it...

      Also, I did mention that it probably wasn't the best way to do it, as it'll rub people up thw wrong way, but it's the most effective of making my point. It's probably one of the only circumstacnes where it's acceptable to do so, whereas I don't quite think Murder fits into that category.

      I think it would be great if people put some form of description into their title but I doubt the mods are going to start removing posts with bad quality titles. It's just not a big problem.

      Also you don't tend to see many of them on the front page so I think the problem sorts itself in that respect.

      The only issue here is that, once everything (for me at least) gets to the front page, it's already been read, as I frequent new more than I do the popular posts, i think transfer deadlines is the reason for that and refreshing new like no tomorrow, but it's a more efficient way of getting updates quickly I guess...

      and there's plenty of them there, or rather they're more frequent and noticable than what you mention, so you aint wrong at all.

      It's not hard to just put even a bit more like "my thoughts on Jose's tactics last night", instead of... "jose Mourinho", and then go on to say in a comment, "What do you guys think about his formation last night?"

      It's not a massive problem, but it is one, and I think I aint the only one.

      Yeah I agree with you that it's a bit annoying, I just don't see a way to enforce it other than mods deleting posts based on their level of detail.

      Mate I agree, fair play for ranting about it as well because you're probs gonna get downvoted, because that's what happens around here whenever there's anything that's called out, but you fooled me and that was the point.

      It pisses me off as well. Good shout.
