I almost bought IW and MWR over Black Friday, but now I'm glad I didn't. BO3 snd was ruined by people who laid around a bomb and tried to ninja/knife. Not to mention how outrageous the melee weapons looked.

Did you play BO3 when the boxing gloves came out? I had to take a few day break to let the newness wear off because all of my deaths were from half the lobby using boxing gloves.

So half of your deaths were from people whos only weapon was a melee only weapon to which you needed to be within 2 meters of to get a kill. Im not so sure that "newness" was the problem. They were free, so who cares if everyone uses them. Free kills.

If it fundamentally changes the game from a tactical shooter to a melee boxing match, yea, I can see why people would care.

Except, it doesnt, I can imagine the game being an attack helicopter, doesn't make it such. Melee only has been a choice within the game since the start, the melee weapons are all skins of the base melee weapon. How does that fundamentally change your perspective of the game if nothing has changed but a skin?

Even if it is fucking stupid just remember, these melee weapons are catered for the new system (wallrunning, Jetpack, sliding). IMO you will be at a severe disadvantage if you just run around using melee weapons in MWR.
