She actively opposed gay rights most of her career. The Defense of Marriage Act that everyone celebrated being struck down giving gays the right to marry was signed into law by Bill.

Everytime I bring this up the Hillbots try to convince me that it was done to protect gays. Their logic is that if we didn't get DOMA, we would have got a constitutional amendment declaring marriage being between a man and a woman and that would have been incredibly hard to undo.

This ignores 2 facts though:

• This hypothetical constitutional amendment was never even introduced or brought up in congress until the early 2000's long after DOMA was already passed.
• There simply were not enough votes for a constitutional amendment like this.

They will do anything to make it seem like Hillary has always been an LGBT ally, including revisionist history.
