Honestly would that be a problem?

I mean, there's various degrees of "patrol the streets".

What would they do? They could do anything from simply film and assess a situation based on preprogrammed inputs, allowing them to call law enforcement or other emergency services any time they see a violent crime or an accident. That sounds great to me...

Now, if you're actually worried about them becoming like police officers... Well, one I doubt they'd be given full autonomy just cause that'd have so many issues logistically, (notwithstanding everyone's strange nonsensical fear of AI stemming science fiction books and movies.)

So it'd basically just be like remote policing. You'd have a trained police operator remotely controlling it. This... Would take some getting used to but I don't see it as a problem.

Lastly... Are we sure fully autonomous robot cops would be worse than what we have now?

I mean, they'd have perfect compliance with protocol. Wrongful arrests would cease to exist. Wrongful killings by officers would cease to exist.

So... I For one welcome police robots, if only because I trust robots more than people.

they sometimes have a neck appendage that's like an arm. there's videos of them testing its strength as it chucks a brick across a room, and it's finesse as it picks up a dummy and loads it on it's back for carrying.
