My sister is 13, and I'm about 10 years older. I haven't been close to her ever since she was 9, because I've been off to college. We don't have any other siblings.

I overheard her conversation with my mom about how middle school is going, and my sister said she loves rejecting guys. My sister has an Instagram account with a thousand followers. She is constantly on her phone on all ranges of social media and never tells the family what she does. A boy in her class had a break-up recently, and he is talking to her about it (and she was laughing at him). She obsesses over makeup and looking "mature" (though she doesn't act like it).

What was once pretty innocent, has grown into the opposite of that right before my eyes. While she is only 13, I imagine most mature women feel this way. Let me know what you think.
