First off, let me just say that this review contains spoilers so if you haven’t seen this movie but plan to, you shouldn’t read this just yet. Having said that, let’s get down to it. I don’t ordinarily spend time watching movies like this because from the title, poster and general reviews, they are usually crap. With the Internet, there really is a wealth of choice today about what we should spend our precious time on. (Thank you, by the way, for spending your time reading this).
Anyway, the reviews for this particular movie were not too bad (which means good) so I decided to give it a go. Did the attractive women and nudity provide further incentives for me to watch it? You know, I thought it would but I really just wanted to be entertained. Again, with the Internet today, any pornography of choice is just a few mouse clicks away (in some places, you can even get sex with hot women on demand, so long as you have money). So no, I have to say those were not really factors that got me watching. The movie starts by showing us a fat kid getting teased by two girls his age. He is tricked into removing his underwear, gets his dick insulted for being small and the laughed at.
He snaps and gets revenge by killing one of those girls (the main teaser) and getting away with it under believable circumstances (it would look to the authorities like an accident). This same fat kid apparently grows up to be a fat man working as a computer technician of some kind. He desires the company and approval of hot women (don’t we all?) and is a regular at a voyeur site known as, you guessed it, “Girl House”. The girls there are very attractive and basically strip on camera for paying customers. A weird thing about this movie is that while the spoken language is in English, the chat sessions with customers on the computer screen are apparently all in German.
So unless you speak German, you’re going to need to find some way to translate them (I did and it helped understand what was going on better). Why this weirdness? I have no idea. Anyway, most of the girls in the “house” are just making far more money in far more comfortable a setting than the fast food industry except for a handful, like our protagonist female, who’s just looking to pay her way through college. Why not work with what you got, right? Looks, in this case. Our fat psycho also realizes the importance of looks and even asks her at one point, as a customer, if he’s attractive by sending a photo of himself to her. She’s obviously shocked but lies to him saying he’s attractive.
He realizes this, of course, but maybe he still wants to believe it. I won’t spoil everything for you but suffice to say one thing leads to another until all hell breaks lose; which is when the fat psycho decides he wants to kill all those girls for “insulting” or “being mean” to him, basically. (That photo he sent gets plastered on their wall as being a loser). Even at work, while accidentally sneaking a peak up the skirt of a hot woman in the office (and apparently enjoying it), he gets threatened for sexual harassment by the woman simply because she knows she can (women have a lot of power these days). He doesn’t like that either and was probably thinking they shouldn’t dress like that at the office if they don’t want guys to stare.
Now, this fat guy turns out to be quite the killer but naturally, by the end of the movie, is put out of commission himself. It is quite clear he probably wanted to die too (perhaps anticipating being sprayed with bullets by the police when it’s over). Overall, I have to say the movie was quite entertaining but more so because of the lessons viewers may draw from it. It is implied his childhood trauma and lack of success with women turned him into the loser/psycho he was and that most men would/should just move on and improve themselves rather than turn into “creeps”. Had he lost the weight, worked out at the gym and took some classes about how to interact with women, perhaps he would be married to an average-looking woman with two kids and be a nice, hard-working, tax-paying man like most guys are taught they should be.
Instead, he became a recluse and entertained himself through fantasies of having sex, or rather being loved (like the Beauty & the Beast story) by drop-dead gorgeous young women who are extremely well-acquainted with how much power they have over men’s natural instincts and how many legal rights they have in relationships these days as well. Now, under what circumstances would such a woman actually “fall in love” with a guy like in the photo above? Few, if any. Perhaps simply realizing this or becoming a man going his own way (MGTOW), the lives of those girls and his own might have been saved. It is a shame the movie didn’t touch on that aspect at all. That sometimes, it’s better for men to realize where they stand against other men and simply walk away from the game. It’s not like women would miss these men anyway.
What about reproduction, then? Well, I suppose in today’s world he can’t just purchase a war captive Victoria’s Secret model from a bazaar and make her his slave/child-bearer like might have been possible centuries ago as long as he had the money but options in that regard are also there. Surrogacy, for example (I know, expensive, illegal and out of reach of most men, for the most part); or settling for a woman who looks not very different from himself and becoming a slave to her and their children (she would probably divorce him at some point too but no one ever said kids came without a price).
Finally, he could have simply just accepted his fate and taken his DNA to his grave. At the end of the day, what does it matter anything that we do anyway? All we do is just for our happiness in this life (chemical reactions in the brain) and the activities that cause said reactions can always be simulated and interchanged. In other words, if you’re unhappy or depressed as a man, find ways to make yourself happy. Find other ways to do it, if you must. They’re there. Just keep looking. It’s certainly better than ending up like the guy in this movie. A man really doesn’t need a woman’s love like he needs food or water. He can live without it… and live well, in fact.
