I have been scouting Fabinho for all my earthly days, and I am certain that 1) He will win the Ballon D'or and 2) he is the solution to all of our problems. This time for sure.

No, I mean come on. The only thing fans are good at picking out is a player that is already world class. If we signed Kante from Ligue 2 before Leicester there would have been a riot in the subreddit. We're shit at picking out players. There's so much to answering the question of 'is a player any good' its unreal. We talk some shit about deadwood, and then basically eye up the next load of deadwood to be shifted in two seasons time.

Leave the particulars to the pros, watching two Monaco games does not give you some great insight into a player. If you watched Khazri against us last season you would have thought he was one of the up and coming, Barcelona bound, world class wingers.

A discussion of which positions need reinforcement or change is more interesting, but let's not get bogged down in fucking Fabinho-who-i-have-watched-three-times-in-my-life will save our title hopes. It's not discussion, there's nothing to say about it.

Not really, we have a lot of data available these days, more than just watching someone three times. Watching games and analysing the huge amount of statistical data available and different (fairly accurate) performance scores can give us a reasonable insight into a players suitability.

Obviously it's just speculation and you can't compare your average mans opinion to that of a professional scout or scouting team, but it's really not that complicated and for me personally I like the rumours, speculation and discussions.

In Fabinho's case, there's little doubt he would improve our team, as a RB or DM. It's not that simple of course, does Mourinho want him or someone else? Does Fabinho want to come? Will Monaco sell at a reasonable price? Etc. I don't see why players shouldn't be discussed though?
