Hi:
I started this thread because I believe the RB/Hal Goodwin fans who want a copy of MT should be able to get one. I can't pay $2000 for a book I want very much and that's just the way it is.
Paul N. has contacted me and says he wants a copy of the re-issue and it sounds like Daniel would be interested in one, too. So now we are three.
As Daniel says, he doesn't have MT and doesn't think many others do either. If you let me know, I'll put you on the list so when I contact the pertinent parties (family, trustees and other copyright holders, a printer/publisher, artist who may own rights to their work, etc.) we'll have an idea of what kind of money we can offer them to do the right thing for all the fans who grew up like I did partly on Spindrift Island.
This won't happen overnight, but I do believe it will happen, because it's the right result. Hal Goodwin wrote 24 Rick Brant books, and his fans of decades deserve to have the chance to own and read all of them and complete their sets.
Please help the snowball get rolling by talking it up and letting me know your interest in obtaining a copy of MT, and I will keep you abreast of developments as they occur. After all, it's not like the other late books weren't re-issued.
