Block /r/buttcoin links from appearing on our discussion threads. They rarely have a valid point, are here only for shits and giggles, and I don't want to suffer through reading their shitty titles every time I open a thread. (np.reddit.com)

Edit: To your point, Initially I thought that they care about cryptocurrencies and hence they feel the need to highlight bad practices etc. But actually they don't give a damn about anything "we" do, they don't really look at things in a nuanced way anyway. So I don't see how blocking their links from appearing will affect us or disadvantage us.
