This subreddit is dedicated to documenting, parodying, discussing, and countering the insane amount of Trump spam.
Trump trolls aren't welcome unless they are able to remain within certain boundaries of discussion.
Maintain some civility and decorum.
Off-topic posts will be deleted, and repeat offenders will be banned. Discussions about ideologies/general political alignments should be clear in their relevance to the subreddit.
Do not vote in linked threads or encourage off-site trolling. This is considered brigading and can lead to sitewide ban. Use NP links or screenshots instead of direct link.
No low-effort shitposts except on Saturday. These includes post begging for votes ("<---" or "Upvote to ..." posts), reposts, and karmawhoring. You can shitpost, but only if it is a good shitpost.
No bigotry, including racism, sexism, and islamophobia. Sic-quotes containing slurs are allowed.
No self-promotion. Please do not post blog spam or try to sell anything for personal gain.
No misleading content, including sensationalist articles, fake news, or satire presented as real news.

I would like to learn a bit more about what news sources to trust or avoid. The news cycle can be quite toxic and biased at times.

Oh, definitely Facebook and memes I find on Twitter.
My grandma posted a link on Facebook to a news article with the headline "Muslim Menace proven to rig election against Trump - Shillary to blame? $$$"
Who better to trust than family?

BBC
any mainstream news source provided you read the article and not the headline, and make sure you back it up with other sources

BBC, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fox and CNN (for info comparison). I look at most sources and then compare the coverage for comparison so as not to be misled.

I like ny times, npr and the Washington post. Also if you see a crazy story in one place, double check it at another source.
