Buses are one of the best examples of female entitlement, and I never noticed it until this Disney World trip I'm on with my family right now.

I get on with my mother and sister, and they fill the whole bus up so people have to stand. A few women get on (some with tons of snotty loud kids) and my mom TELLS me to get up. I'm a 28 year old man now. I make my own decisions. I stand for no one unless I choose to, like possibly and elderly man or woman that can't stand for long or if they're severely handicapped. Mom gives me the dirtiest look, I ignore it. My sister finds it funny because she follows almost the same rule as me, except she would stand for pregnant women too. Part of me feels they CHOSE to carry that child (woo, future child support!). I just don't sympathize with younger women anymore.

My mother has snapped at me several times and even said "CHRIS. BE A GENTLEMAN." in front of everyone.

Why should I have to stand for women just because they're women? What have they done for me?

On the ride I'm on now (not with family), an older woman was standing and I gladly offered it because she was one of those old people that are so frail they're shaking. When I offered, she said "oh no, I want to stand! Thank you though!" I accepted her...decline and kept my seat.

She later accepted a woman's seat though. A woman can stand, that's fine. Doesn't bother me. I love this trip so far (a year in planning), but the white knighting on buses is NOT happening.

There have also been instances where the DRIVER was searching for men to stand for women. I say we all be male Rosa Parks' and stay seated. LOL
