In what way did the establishment vote in Trump? Genuinly curious!

                Gloating over this?

Gloating over those who may be deported?

Gloating over those who may lose their health care?

Gloating over women who were excited to vote for the first female Nominee from a major party?

Gloating over Roe v. Wade being over turned?

Do those tears taste good? If they do then you're deplorable.

                Clintons winning the popular vote

                Who cares

                [–]idontknow32 17ポイント18ポイント  (3子コメント)

Well it's just annoying that dems have won popular vote 6 out of the 7 previous elections, but only won 4 out of 7. The current system just really gives the GOP an advantage, and tired of it not mattering who received more vote, only mattered what state those votes occurred.

                [–]hse97 1ポイント2ポイント  (2子コメント)

Seriously. If you don't live in a swing state, you're presidential vote literally doesn't matter. This was my first election, and if it wasn't for the fact that I had never voted before I probably wouldn't have. I live in Indiana, Democrats have literally no chance at winning anything in my district, and no way in hell would Clinton take Indy. Sad.

                [–]sublimeluvinme 0ポイント1ポイント  (1子コメント)

member when Obama won Indiana in 2008

                [–]hse97 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Polls also showed him leading in Metro areas, this time around not so much. I saw something like a 95% chance of Donald winning my district and state according to the newspaper my mom reads. If there was even a chance, like a legit chance, at Dems winning I wouldn't have felt so cheated. But I willingly sat in line to vote knowing it doesn't matter. Literally every person I voted for lost and I knew that would happen before hand.

Like I said, unless your district or state is a swing area, your vote won't matter. People living in Florida and Pennsylvania, their votes matter 100%. A democrat living in Texas? Lmao.

He won fairly, but I'm still allowed to be disappointed.

Edit: apparently he lost the popular vote. Now I don't think it's fair to us at all.

                [–]SandersCantWinI voted! 16ポイント17ポイント  (7子コメント)

He won fairly but the Electoral College needs to go. She is going to win the popular vote by 1-2 million votes but lose the Electoral Map by a much greater margin than Gore in 2000.

                That is ridiculous.

My six year old nephew woke up and the first question he asked was 'where are we going.....?' I felt so sad for him. He's an American citizen, but the fear and terror of Trump presidency has left even a little kid scared for life.

You have no idea about six year olds then. These kids use iPhones and what not.

                  [–]hse97 1ポイント2ポイント  (4子コメント)

Do you think six year olds just don't absord literally anything they hear on the news when their parents watch it? Fuck, I was only six during the second Bush election, and I remember that election pretty vividly. I remember asking questions, and honestly if you think six is too young to have a basic grasp on general issues either you were a really dull six year old or you're really dull now. Probably both tbqh.

                  [–]ixora7 1ポイント2ポイント  (3子コメント)

Yeah I am really fucking dull. Cheers for the update Einstein.

I'm sorry I'm not the one who said something entirely stupid. If you say something stupid, should you really be surprised if someone calls you stupid? not to mention you literally undermined and dismissed the concerns of kids like they're nothing. That alone is pretty crappy bro.

not to mention you literally undermined and dismissed the concerns of kids like they're nothing

Haha wtf. I didn't say that kid had no concerns. I am saying kids have difference concerns. I was calling out bullshit when its clearly bullshit.

Hey if you wanna think I'm stupid thats your prerogative man.

And if you think 6 year olds are into politics and not Minecraft thats your genius choice too.

First off I want to apologize for how harsh I've been, lot of pent up aggression that I shouldn't have taken out on strangers on the internet.

Secondly, kids are so freaking smart. They may be the stupidest people on the planet, but they're still smart enough to grasp general concepts like a presidential election and the very, very basics of each candidate. It's really not that hard to think that a young mexican kid, who's overheard the media cover Trump's deportation comments, could very well be concerned that he might be deported. I mean, hell, I just got back from my support group, and a teacher there who teaches elementary has said a lot of kids are worried that they'll be deported because they or their parents are from Mexico. Anecdotal evidence, sure, but it's really not that big of a stretch to assume kids are at least some what aware of the world around them, even if it is limited to very basic concepts.

I lived through the end of the Cold War in the 80s and I remember watching the news and being terrified at 5, 6, 7 and 8 years old. I remember asking my dad if I was gonna die from Aids or if we would all be bombed. You'd be surprised at how much kids process at a young age.

Man, why you gotta come out making all these assumptions about the P to the A. You gotta understand my guy, there's a lot of similarities between PA and the rust belt if you look in between the cities. Look at places like NEPA. I live in Lackawanna County (one of the few non-city counties that went blue), and I know a lot of people in Monroe that went red. You get a better picture of it when you're friends with them, that everything is just fucked and that any image of change is better than what they're barely accepting now.

PA is NOT just Philadelphia and Pittsburgh

                  [–]another_new_account8 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

You seem to know better than me about the attitudes in PA. Similarly for me, all the people I talked to (which isn't that many people tbh) said they wanted trump. I know trump is seen as someone who can bring the jobs back and fix income equality but I'm just not buying it.

                  [–][deleted] 11ポイント12ポイント  (3子コメント)

538's forecast never had her below 55.5% in PA, and she generally had a 3-5 point lead. And 538 was accused by HuffPo of wrongfully skewing the polls toward Trump.
