A Human Right is only a right as long as it does not infringe on other people's rights.

how does sex infringe on your rights?

[–]DoneDealofDeadpool 7ポイント8ポイント  (6子コメント)

All humans have the freedom to say no to things they do not wish to participate in with some obvious exceptions (taxes, etc). One of the things covered is the right to refuse or accept sex, forcing someone to have sex with you when they do not wish to participate infringes on this right.

obvious exception yes, sex shoukd be an exception

You need to actually give a reason, and a good reason at that. The reason we pay taxes is to give the government the resources to fund things like infrastructure not because they just want your money. Likewise, you cannot say that a reason for sex to be a human right is because you want it to be, there should be an underlying reason that benefits the most people possible.

sex benefits humanity as a whole

So does having money but you don't see me robbing a store. Sex benefits humanity but only when it's consenting. Unwanted pregnancies that result in either abortion or adoption rates going up, inevitable sti/std rates skyrocketing and the general quality of life being diminished due to the illegality of refusing an incredibly personal experience. These are just a few things that would be incredibly likely if not inevitable if your proposal were to happen. Not to mention that if people under 18 must adhere to this rule that's another can of worms.

"Oh, hey, here's some shit you use. We'd like you to help pay to maintain it, because you use it."

money is a finite resource (even though our government can just print off more of it but they won't because they only care about da rich, if i was elected POTUS i would print off infinite amount and let the poor take it), sex isn't.

Sex benefits humanity but only when it's consenting

no "buts" about it!!

Unwanted pregnancies that result in either abortion or adoption rates going up,

abortions are good

inevitable sti/std rates skyrocketing

just go to a doctor (healthcare should be free)

and the general quality of life being diminished due to the illegality of refusing an incredibly personal experience.

what about more sex would diminish quality of life? marriage quality goes up the more sex there is and are humans not all married to each other, rhetorically speaking?

These are just a few things that would be incredibly likely if not inevitable if your proposal were to happen.

that's the point, for things to happen!

Not to mention that if people under 18 must adhere to this rule that's another can of worms.

what's so special about the number 18?

I'm going to adress each point one by one. First of all you cannot just "print more money" it's been tried before and the effects were nothing short of disastrous and considering how important the US is in the international economy this idea would be catastrophic.

Abortions are also not good, I'm pro choice but abortion rates skyrocketing is never a sign of something good. STI/STDs are lifetime things and while the symptoms can be addressed there is no cure, and forcing someone to have sex with me while I have an STI is like me forcing someone to kiss me while I have oral cancer.

Marriage quality does go up with sex your missing the point that it says "marriage" nor "some random person", people don't like having their freedoms being taken away and taking someones ability to consent to sex is a really big freedom to take away. There nothing really special about 18, it just supposed to represent the age of adulthood for a country. You can substitute it with Canada’s 19 or Ireland's 17, etc.

Um, what? You think you should be allowed to have sex with anyone you tell to by law?
