Schweinsteiger instead of Fellaini? What's the latest with Basti now? (self.reddevils)

After staying up until 2AM to see another game thrown away, I thought to myself "Why isn't Basti on the pitch instead?"

I thought he played well in his last 5 minute cameo. I know his wages are insane and that he's old, but he still has a lot more composure than most when it comes to high pressure moments.

I honestly think Basti should be taking Fellaini's spot. Maroune has past his short prime for me and has yet to put himself on par with our past midfielders that brought us success.

No. It's more about playing someone with a cool head and who has done it all in high-pressure situations than someone who doesn't have that cool head. Nothing beats a warrior with the right mentality no matter how old he has become.

Roy Keane said it right: an injured Bastian Schweinsteiger is better than a fit Fellaini.

Roy Keane can be a real dick sometimes but at least he knows how to keep people on their toes. I agree with his statement too.
