I'm not so worried about delays, that may occur. I don't care if my PT2 arrives after Christmas.
What piss me off is the lack of information or updates from Pebble to their backers.
So I hope that if you don't ship anymore the Time 2 because of http://j.mp/2fOd9rZ at least you are going to refund all the backers that hoped for that bigger screen that you did not delivered yet (or any more)
If fitbit is buying Pebble for 20 or 30 M, I hope they put some fo that money for refunds, 'cause they are gonna need it. I don't want to ask for a refund but I feel so dissapointed with Pebble that I guess that's the only solution for now.
Again, typical Pebble. They tell is nothing about anything and expect us to like it.
As an investor I find this situation impossible to fathom, what do this to us your loyal customers? Are they trying to kill off their own brand and customer base before Fitbit does it for them? :-/
Sure it is sad if the news is true. But if they deliver they have fulfilled the kickstarter. Just asking for a refund just because you don't like unconfirmed news is another thing.
When Fitbit stops the development of Pebble software then it would be fair if they put all source code of Pebble software on the internet like github so that atlease the community can support the Pebble watch with new features and avoid people buy an unsupported watch.
Secondly give backers a change to cancel there current order and refund any money already paid.
And it would be good if Pebble will update there backers with an e-mail that answers all questions about this topic.
Today I read in the news that Fitbit wants to buy Pebble and that there are no plans to continue making Pebble watches what does this mean for the people like me waiting for the Pebble Round and support of Pebble software in the future ?
"We'll be sending all Time 2 and polished Round backers an email update regarding availability within the next few days." a comment the made on facebook a few hours ago
And remember. Funding kickstarters are a _RISK_ that you take. You have not bought a product. You have funded it. We the backers are the venture capitalists. But instead of sending in millions from one backer we send in small amounts from lots of people.
And if this doesnt make it all the way through then touch luck. It would not be the first failed one for me. Bu it would be the most heartbreaking since ive stuck with pebble since the first kickstarter.
I'll be waiting for an update; however, if there is any indication that support for our products will be limited or non-existent because of the sale to Fitbit, I'll be jumping ship. I don't want to end up with a product that may need software updates and there's no team to work on them.
So before everyone jumps ship on a kickstarter that is only a bit late (considering many kickarters ive backed has been over 6 months late). Is it not best to stick with it for a FEW days more and get the fitbit rumor confirmed first?
At this point they reealllyy need to release some statement before the whole community asks for a refund. Squash the rumours Eric! C'mon, give us something!
Techcrunch is reporting that Fitbit is acquiring Pebble
https://techcrunch.com/2016/11/30/fitbit-pebble/ How is that gonna affect the orders? Will Pebble be around 1 year from now? 2? I think the risks are a little higher now. Requesting a refund might be the better option now, as sad as it might be.
I am a backer for a Time 2 watch. Haven't received it yet and based on current media reports, it doesn't look like it's coming. It's now more than a month past the expected delivery date. I want a refund. How do I get a refund?
Glint, I haven't considered it's confirmed... Techcrunch seems to have done it... To me, I'll sit tight, If there is a watch at the end of the adventure, good for me, if I lost 3xx USD in backing for 2 PT2, well, I'll be screwed, those are the risks of being a backer, I'll ask for a refund then, but if I can end up getting what I want, even after a delay, I don't really care much.
Will the plaftorm die? Well, we don't know what fitbit wants to do with them. If they can keep it as is or build their own platform on top, we'll see.
Requested a refund because of two main reasons:
1. Fitbit aquiring Pebble and uncertain future of the products. The Time2 may be a depecated product before release.
2. Uncertain situation with supplier chain (mainly JDI) and Pebble not addressing this.
I hope they have enough cash to process all the refunds, because I foresee a lot of those coming in the next days.
no wonder there hasn't been any updates; they're busy filling their pockets from Fitbit's buyout. I'm fine with a refund and going to an Apple Watch. I can at least rely on Apple's customer support.
I'm still waiting for the Pebble Time 2 to be shipped to France and I'm afraid it won't be :-/
My pledge includes a Pebble Core as well and as the time is running my disappointment is growing.
I just hope I will receive both of the items, the sooner the better.
Please give us update, we need to know!
Especially about the PT2 as it's supposed to be Christmas present, should I be looking for substitution gift ?
Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!

Even if there will be a merger, a takeover or whatever, that does not have to mean that current PT2's (ect.) won't be shipped, does it?
But INFORMATION would help people not asking for refunds.

the twitter link is now invalid
both fitbit and pebble are in a struggle to survive, so it may at least mean we do get future Pebble products

Pebble is laying off 25 percent of its staff in March, that is why you expect some delay of the product.

I requested a refund. Right now I'm 0 for 5 with Kickstarter projects I've backed where I haven't received the product or a terrible version of.
Once (if) I get my money back I'm removing Kickstarter from my life and sticking with brands that I can buy in a store.

Go to the campaign page and search for the word "refund".
"More than a month past expected delivery date" is inaccurate, though; "November" hasn't even ended for some of us yet :)
