I saw one /r/the_donald post, the Mark Wahlburg one. I think they changed the algorithm again so it only shows one or two posts per sub/domreddit on the main page. Used to be 5. Also, seems like they added a filter to the page so you can filter out whatever yourself...

    It's much more than the stickies. I'm going through page after page of all and there is nothing from the_donald. With our votecounts things should be there. They have changed the general algorithm to prevent the_donald from reaching /r/all at all. He just didn't announce that part, but it's obvious.

    The issue was the sticky threads were being created within a few hours, with 7-9k votes, so reddit thinks these are insanely popular (which they are) and shoots them to the top. However, after months of that, some people got kinda tired of it. Especially when it's just a sentence long text post, or meme or something.
    I'm not trying to insult your intelligence by explaining this, just trying to be helpful. And I hope I don't get banned from here as this was just a neutral response.

      The most helpful thing to quickly get back onto r/all would actually to be to downvote all of the old stickied posts so that the new non-stickied posts will more quickly surpass them. Regardless, this will become irrelevant in 1-2 hours.

      How do you know who did what if you share a login?
      Mods 1-5 share an account. Mod 1 logs in a changes the password, bans people for fun or messes with the HTML/CSS.
      In a perfect world it would work but this isn't a perfect world.

      If the highest mod wanted to fuck with people he could create a new mod account and add it himself. I'm not saying that it couldn't be abused but any mod account can be abused. This would allow multiple mods to edit the permanent sticky.
      Name the account stickyaccount and have a notice to users alerting mods if the account is used for anything else.

      I am not entirely sure on the plan here but it could be a link to a google doc which can be edited by many people, if that is the issue, I may be misunderstanding the idea here though.

      Stickied posts keep them at the top of /r/the_donald, which exposes them to more upvotes, which could bring them to the top of /r/all due to all the upvotes. Spez has now made it so that the stickied posts on this subreddit no longer qualify to be on /r/all, which was a shit move and could potentially censor important posts from being on /r/all.
      Making a stickied post a link to a non-stickied post I don't think would work, because a sticky is still a sticky regardless of whether it's a text post, image, link, etc.
      Edit: I get it, the sticky would redirect you to a different important post that you would upvote, which would bring that post to the top since it's not a stickied post. That's some 8D² chess right there.
