I do see what you're saying, but I'll just paste my response from the other guy;
As of this comment, this post is #8 on /all. By disabling the sticky from appearing on /all, they've put the posts here on common ground with the rest of reddit.
The issue was the sticky threads were being created within a few hours, with 7-9k votes, so reddit thinks these are insanely popular (which they are) and shoots them to the top. However, after months of that, some people got kinda tired of it. Especially when it's just a sentence long text post, or meme or something.
I'm not trying to insult your intelligence by explaining this, just trying to be helpful. And I hope I don't get banned from here as this was just a neutral response.
