My new rule regarding United (self.reddevils)

I no longer visit 'neutral' sites (Football365, Sky Sports etc) when United haven't won their latest game.

The histrionics and vitriol revolving around United are just insane, any public forum has every non-United fan jeering and jubilant after each non-result for us.

I restrict myself to reading here or a United forum (won't say name in case advertising makes mods delete post) - they're just as (if not more) harsh on the team but at least there's no delight in it, anyone who doesn't support United seems to hate us more than they support their own team.

As an aside - I hate the tribal nature of the game, why so much loathing?

I have stopped /r/soccer and this sub too at times. I know it is just a matter of time and luck. We will start winning again .

I agree.

Before I found this I frequented NewsNow for headlines and TPP for fan motivated posts.

Now I know that headlines that don't make it to this sub are not worth considering and that the best fanzine posts get here anyway,

I come here for news. I go elsewhere for proper discussion. This place is dreadful for having actual sensible conversations. Plus I don't really give a fuck if it's David May's birthday or if one of the twins posted a picture of a cat on twitter.
