The interesting thing is that once you stop caring about women, you also tend to stop caring about accumulating money. Anything past the point of being warm, fed and having a roof over your head seems pointless and redundant.
Just recently I turned down an extremely well paying job in an industry most people would die to be in. I prefer taking long walks in nature every day, reading philosophy books, working in my garden, playing cool video games, acquiring new skills and working on self-development. And most of all, being alone. I’m not an old guy. I’m only in my early 30s in fact. But you can never retire too early and take back your time and freedom.
It’s all led me to the realization of the following principles:
the only reason men work hard is to secure a vagina either by means of impressing it with money or buying it outright
society exists only because most men are willing to trade in their time for money, in order to secure 1.
almost everything else is a surrogate activity that compensates for a lack of success in 1.
Time is literally the only resource of value that you have. Money is just a proxy for it, and the ruling classes can and do print it for free and give it to their friends first. But they want you to sign away your life for it. Don’t be a fool, don’t squander your life in the service of others just to impress a bunch of strangers who wouldn’t even notice if you were gone tomorrow.
Perhaps what helped me make this transition is the fact that I was a fairly successful pick up artist in the previous decade of my life. PUA, TRP, all that stuff. What I’ve seen out there is so ugly and nasty to make me never want to go near it again. I’ve seen the monsters that hide behind cute faces, short skirts and high heels. You know what I’m talking about.Go your own way.

With my personality type, I need to work and it needs to be challenging, hence I tend to get promoted upwards. As a bachelor, my lifestyle is pretty simple, so all the extra money simply gets plugged into my account without really trying to save money.
My situation is that I probably can retire by 40 or so if I really wanted to.
I think that even without women, you still want to accumulate money for whatever purpose you want. But the key is that it’s for you, and without the dead weight, that amount you need to earn and accumulate is substantially less.

After my divorce, I started having a lot of money left over after paying bills. I think men are perfectly happy living frugally. I already drive an old car. I hope to sell my house and downsize into a small condo.
Men don’t care about impressing people. My ex could spend an obscene amount of cash on ridiculous things. (Adios bitch)perhaps women love wealth and resources more than they love men?

I’m more than happy without $1k plus gifts, going on dates, $100 a head dinners, new clothes every month etc. I like having 10 year old clothes, my 10 year old TV, 10 year old car (albeit Mercedes amg lol) etc. Not being able to waste my money on useless shit is what women despise.

You can’t buy peace of mind.
Being alone through berevement, I spent my free time renovating a house we had just brought. It has been a 3 year job as although well decorated and carpeted when we viewed, the walls had big cracks and the floor was uneven. I fixed the subsidence by sealing the surrounding ground with a layer of concrete and paved on top. No more cracks. I had no desire to go out and socialise so any money not spent on building materials paid my mortgage. The mortgage was paid off this year and all the major big cost jobs on the house are done. Now I work part time 3 days a week and 70% of my last monthly cheque is still in the bank when I get the next monthly cheque. I drive a 10 year old Honda that easily has another 10 years left in it with low miles. Why would I need a new car when the only reason would be to impress shallow friends or pick up women. I only buy stuff I need as I prefer to have the freedom spare money gives me rather than some material goods to clutter up my home. I get laughed at for my old Samsung Slider phone and told I need a smart phone, why? I got the internet at home and at work I don’t need it when walking around town. I see so many people spend all their money on stuff they don’t need to impress others, then two weeks into the month they are complaing they are short of cash and can’t wait for pay day. I couldn’t live this way if I had a woman to keep happy as (most) of their needs seem to be inexhaustable. Freedom is more valuable than money.

You raise excellent points but I slightly disagree. I understand your point and living frugally. I plan on gaining as much wealth as humanly possibly to only spend on me. I am not stating it is wrong to live frugally because I do too. I look at it as the ultimate act of defiance. I will live comfortably and when I get to the point of retiring, I will not worry about paying for kids to go through college or an ungrateful wife. I will spend money on me and me alone.

That is a very good point you made there, BS. As for the purpose you mentioned in my case (at least at the moment) it is my long term goal to become independent from most governmental influences and further more to retire a few years earlier than commonly usual and that in a completely different environment than where I am now, as in somewhere far far away from western civilization preferably at the other end of the world off-coast from any major continent (where presumably the definition of wealth shall be quite relative by comparison to western standards), in order to learn about new cultures there and adapt to them (but only as much as would be comfortable to me in terms of mingling with them…) and ultimately to find my own “peace and quiet” there…
Now it may be some big goal in the end but not necessarily unachievable for me, unless of course before I could possibly reach it the whole world economy might collapse big time and/or a great new global war might occur (within like say the next ten years)…

Same here, I have devoted much more time on my hobbies (competitive marksmanship is not cheep) and still have money left over. I am happier now that money is not an issue in my life and I do not chase the money anymore. I found happiness is not bought and only you can make yourself happy.
