I posted this on r/nintendo before, but sadly the fanboys can't face the fact that their company is dead. Maybe I can get some serious replies here.

I used to love Nintendo more than any other gaming company in the world. But over the past few months and years, that admiration has been replaced with boredom, disgust, and very damn near hatred. One of my biggest issues is the shady shit they've been doing, namely with Amiibos, the European version of Pokemon Sun & Moon, and the Mini NES. They created artificial scarcity with these items so they could sell more in the long run. It's clever, it's money-making, and they have every right to do it. But it's also a slimy, sleazy tactic that's just plain abusive to loyal customers.

And there's a reason they do it. They're out of touch and they're no longer current. I'm not saying anything like they're close to going down under, but their sales are slipping. They've absolutely embarrassed themselves with some of their "new" consoles. The Wii U was a disaster because they didn't promote it correctly. People were confused about many things about the product and it was an absolute flop. It hasn't had a very wide game selection either. And the 2DS. It isn't new, it isn't creative, it's just lazy. They took the 3DS and dumbed it down. It's a neanderthal console. It's a brick with screens. I'm fine with the 3D gimmick being gone, but removing the folding function is just stupid. The point is Nintendo has lost its touch. It doesn't know what gamers want anymore. Therefore, they don't profit like they used to. And like the greedy bastards they are, they pull stupid shit like what they did with the Amiibos, Pokemon S&M, and Mini NES in an attempt to rake in more cash in the end. They don't care about their customers being happy. They don't care about anyone but themselves anymore. They're out of touch. They've lost their magic. Nintendo forgot how to be Nintendo.

One of the bigger issues with them that affected me personally is the Tomodachi Life. When they wouldn't include gays in the game. I'm proudly gay and it felt like a slap in the face to me. Nintendo was like an old friend to me. I thought they cared about all their customers. But that disaster felt like them telling me "You're not normal and you don't get to be part of our game". They could have damn well put out a patch on the eShop for the game. If they can't program a patch for something simple as including same-sex couples, they're just retarded. No company that's a living fucking legend of video game development should be that fucking stupid. There's no excuse for them not putting out that patch. Either they're insensible bigots who won't admit it or they're dumbasses who will get distracted by a fly. Either way, it pissed me off and I'd rather play with a single vacuum tube and a fork than help fuel them any longer.

There's also the way they treat their fans in general. I've seen them take down so many good, creative fan projects and sometimes even steal their ideas. Super Mario Maker was announced not long after Nintendo used their copyright powers to strike down a fan port of SMB 1 with a level designer in it. And Pokemon Uranium from earlier this year. I get that Nintendo was pretty damn upset with Pokemon. Despite how popular Pokemon Go was, they didn't get a big piece of that money pile. But that doesn't excuse their anger. Someone worked on this project for years and it was nothing but love for Nintendo. They weren't trying to use it for their own benefit, they just wanted to make an innocent tribute to the Pokemon series. But Nintendo has to be greedy and tell them "If we can't have it, no one can". They're greedy bullshitters.

I have loved them so much for almost my entire life and now I've had it with them. I'm not likely to sacrifice money that my family works hard to get on the Switch because they've pissed me off for the last god damn time. They've made fools out of their fans. They could simply steal their wallets out of their back pockets and they wouldn't give a damn. But not me. They don't get my money anymore if they're gonna treat me and thousands of other fans like this. I'm done being a fanboy. I'm accepting the reality that Nintendo is just an outdated company with no idea what they're doing anymore. And in the times where this isn't the case, their feigning incompetence to take advantage of their customers. Once again, they have every right to do all the shit I mentioned here. But they don't have the right to do it and expect people to still treat them with respect. If they do think they're that entitled, which wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, they're a bunch of cunts and I shall treat them as such. Bye, Nintendo. Nice knowing you.
