Heya!
This isn't a bug, the person you talked to today isn't a mod of that subreddit and has no inside knowledge of anything. They've been dealt with for that and for a myriad of rule breaking that's been happening on their account. So, I'm sorry about the confusion caused there.
As for a spam filter being tested, I think there may have been some confusion on the mods end when you talked to them a couple months ago but you should also check that your posts are following the subreddits rules and if so try politely messaging them directly again. Feel free to link them to my comment here and tell them they can PM me if they have any questions.
