I can understand why someone would despise Mourinho.

I can even understand why someone would like LVG's "philosophy".

What I don't understand however is why you would, almost obsessively, try and force these opinions on others. Especially when you've been told multiple times that these posts are just plain annoying.

You're here everyday, just being irritating. It's like an edgy 14 year old, voicing his opinions about atheism to a community of theists.

I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone. This isn't my opinion. These are facts. Numbers. Records of results both managers have accrued in the exact same window of time.

If you don't like it, ignore it. I ignore a lot of shit on this sub.

I'm actually not slandering him. I am trying to provide a very balanced view of him in comparison to a manager that was labelled a "failure" by this sub. I am not putting any skew on anything, simply sharing factual data about Jose Mourinho

It's so ridiculous. I don't really have a problem with him praising LVG but the way he goes about it, having to put someone else down to raise another up, isn't right at all.

Sorry, I'm not putting anyone down. Merely making a common statistical comparison between 2 managers. Wins Draws and Losses is a pretty universal way of comparing 2 managers especially in the same league during the exact same period.

Because this sub hated him so much and called him a failure and even in the face of reality and evidence, the man was vilified by the club and its fans. Now Jose is manager and everyone thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Numbers say different

How am I being hypocritical? I'm showing that a man isn't as infallible as this sub would like to believe and that a man that was labelled a failure has dealt with twice the amount of adversity and come out just 3 points behind. Where is the hypocrisy?

You're saying LvG was treated unfairly by the fans, while treating Mourinho unfairly. If this was Mourinho's second season and you used stats from LvG's second season and they were better then maybe I'd agree with you, but it's just more of your repeated attempts to make LvG out as some sort of martyr

I've just given you stats from Mourinhos 2nd and 3rd seasons with a settled team vs LVGs 1st and 2nd season with a rebuilding team and this is your rebuttal? Comparing 2nd seasons. Yeah, you've missed the point

What do you make of it?

I mean, it's pretty much a really broad scope of the two guys between those times. It's really hard to make anything from it except lots of speculation, theory and conspiracy.

Here's what I make of it, a manager who's won 2 premier league titles and had a full year to work on his team, could only perform 3 points better than a manager new to the league, having to rebuild a team almost from zero and dealing with 2 of the worst injury crises the club has ever seen.

LVG while doing all this managed to bed in multiple youth players and implement a very difficult playing style that was completely new to the club and it's players.

This record shows both managers performances in the league over a period of time. In that time, Jose had pretty much the same team. LVG changed loads of players between 14/15 and 15/16 and still managed just 3 points less than Mou.

I think this says a bit about the quality in both managers in that period of time.

I really do get what you're saying, but I just don't think now is the right time to be undermining Jose.

It is very early days still; although I don't think we are getting top 4, I still think we need to take it easy.

We need to at least give him until the summer to eliminate all the reasons we are going wrong.

I obviously don't know Jose personally, but he does come across as the type of guy who, once is found out will revise and edit his ways to come back better.
