The fallout from Jose Mourinho’s red card against West Ham on Sunday has continued on Monday with the circulation of fresh quotes from Hammers midfielder Mark Noble.

The Special One was dismissed from the touchline after he kicked a water bottle in reaction to a booking to United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba collected his fifth booking of the season for supposed simulation, which means he’ll miss the EFL Cup match against West Ham on Wednesday night.

Following the match, Man United assistant coach Rui Faria voiced his belief that the Pogba booking was a poor call from the officials, and now it seems that Mark Noble is backing the Red Devils up.

An astonishing admission

As reported on the Manchester Evening News, Noble admitted in an interview with the Premier League worldwide service that he’d have clattered into Pogba had he not jumped out of the way.

So surely that settles the matter, right?

Could this also mean that Jose Mourinho will avoid punishment for his outburst?
