Description

Here a build I made for my girlfriend. She's studying interior design and was using a Dell XPS 13 while watching netflix on the TV the last college year. It's an amazing laptop for when she is at the college, but at home it's not very productive. Now, She's using Sketchup and Thea Render while listening to netflix on the left monitor.

For the dual monitor arm, I bought this. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0052AWGLE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For the amazing $40CAD mechanical keyboard, she bought this. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01EY9D2JI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I made the build the smallest and most efficient I could have. I wanted to hide the build behind the second monitor so she would not loose any working space. The case successfully fulfill my wish and made everything easier (thank you Silverstone).

I choose the GTX 1060 because thea render is using the Cuda technology, otherwise I would have choose AMD for the extra vram and raw performance.

Yes, I did the cable management after I took the picture.

edit: I forgot, she build the PC all by herself and I helped her for the cable management.

Nice build!

Also, true love breaks the bank. Coming from a married guy who's never built his wife a computer. +1

Nice build. I think there is a misplaced picture in there with hardline and a white case though. How is the 1060 performing for her with that application. My sister uses it and I was going to use two of the same card in SLI for her.
