Both English and both played at Spurs. They're the only similarities I see between the two players. Don't think he would be much of an upgrade on someone like Schneiderlin.

I honestly can't stand Eric Dier. Goes around like he'd this tough guy, saying shit to other players. To me his just a little twat, who plays some decents games, but very rarely on top level. Much worse than Carrick, and even Wanyama.

Not having a go at you but I love players who give it and never back down from anyone no matter how big, even if they don't play for United. It's what I love about certain players like Lingard, Rafa, Rooney, Ronaldo, Herrera and loads more.

Wilshere is a prime example he's mocked and hated on here but if he played for United I guarantee he would be loved, we laud players like Wilshere when they play for us.

Yeah I see your point. Tbh I'm probably extremely bias, but I just can't stand him. Most opposition fans don't like Herrera, and I love him. So it's probably somewhat like that.

Did Schneiderlin die?

Shows promise at CDM, has been used as a CB lately and has been awful

Started at CB too, I remember he wandered up front for some reason and scored on debut.

He was at RB that game but won them a few games randomly during his early games.

Nope. There aren't many Carrick's out there and Dier certainly isn't one.

It's late and I'm not thinking straight but the only one in the PL that even comes close to Carrick's traits might be Danny Drinkwater. I don't know if he sits back enough though.

Not good enough on the ball. Sure he can hit the long ones but picking out a pass is another thing.
