Explaining this idea is probably a very bad idea and as I have not done this I can't guarantee that it will work. This comes from a friend. Immediately after marrying his wife he opened up a PO Box as their legal address in his and her names but he kept the key. He then went to Las Vegas and drove around until he located a vacant house whereupon he called up the electrical company and order service started with the bill to be sent to his PO Box. This established residency in Las Vegas. He then went to the courthouse with a copy of the electrical bill and his newly minted Las Vegas drivers license and filed for divorce with the papers to be served on his wife at her legal address which was the PO Box to with only he had the key. He attended all the requisite court hearings and had a friend (not me) who affirmed under oath that she had been served. After a year the divorce would be granted and during that time he would live in wedded bliss with his soon-to-be ex-wife secure in the knowledge that if she ever decided to divorce him that he had their divorce papers already signed, sealed, and ready to throw in her face.
