He has just come back from an injury, but I don't think he'll be with us next season either way

He's also been replaced several times over... he has to compete with Memphis, Martial, Lingard, Mata, Mkhitaryan, and Pereira (presumably) for a starting or sub spot. I don't think he has the talent, the physicality, the desire, or the mentality to compete with that lot and come out on top. Kindest thing to do will be to sell him on to somewhere closer to his level.

Yeah, gotta agree. I've watched him a few times for Sunderland this season, and there's literally nothing about him that looks any way special, or good enough. When you then also see what Watmore is doing for them, Januzaj's efforts then just looks a bit embarrassing.

He's got the talent, but lack everything else. I think he'll be gone next season.

This has been clear for a while now

Januzaj looks chubby now. He doesn't seem to be taking care of himself that way you need to be if you want to reach your potential. In his earlier years he was slender and could glide past players. Now he is chubby, heavy footed, and doesn't have the elegant glide he used to possess.

A lack of professionalism(ie. proper lifestyle, eating, and training habits) is the biggest career killer you will find and it is something that may be the downfall of Januzaj. I cant speak for his lifestyle and training habits, but it is clear as day he is not looking after his diet that way he needs to be

I don't mean this as knocking him but I'll forever believe 90% of the reason he stood out his first year is cause it seems every other player seemingly didn't want to play for Moyes at all. They'd went from Fergie to him but Januzaj basically went from no one to Moyes so he was happy with his chances and and stood out more than others because he was willing to play for the person giving him a chance. He played good of course but it wasn't hard to stand out.

Put him in the team the season before and I honestly believe he doesn't stand out as much. I think he's a good player who seemingly has potential and talent but it's getting it out of him consistently is the problem. I think he's good but not good enough for Manchester United, a United who at this point more than in a very long time need players who give you confidence if you see their name on the teamsheet. I don't think that's ever going to be a thing with him in the future.

I wish him the best in whoever he ends up with but I won't be saddened if it's not with United.

"Magical"? That's a bit of a stretch. He had two solid games and that was about it. He was average ever since he broke into our first team. And when he wasn't average he was quite shit.

That's nonsense revisionism to be honest. He was very good in the Carling Cup, he was good in several league games, including a very good Chelsea side. He had a promising partnership with Evra, and RVP. And he created more chances per 90 minutes than several players his age group. Yes, he's regressed now. But let's not pretend he wasn't a very exciting player 3 years ago.

And he created more chances per 90 minutes than several players his age group

That seems extremely specific. How many players of his age group were playing in the first team around that time?

He was never average you spac. I'm tired of this underrating. Januzaj, De Gea and Rooney singlehandedly kept us up.

You were right, absolute magic.

This is a 21 year old kid we are talking about. Paul Scholes didn't have his debut for Man United until he was almost 21. I don't know if it's the media or FM or something third but this idea that players should be the finished article by the age of 20 is insane. I'm not saying Januzaj will definitely be great, but he has 5+ years to reach his peak and he has plenty of talent. Jesus.

Especially if we are going to go after big Anton.
