I know this isn't the place for political discussion, but this election has deep gender-based underpinnings that often resonate here.
I was just browsing through the Hillary subreddit, still a little amazed at the emotional, visceral reactions, especially from females. Found a link to this article. It's the typical Dear girls: we're strong womyn, and so on.
I found the line: Everywhere I've gone, women were crying, had just cried, or were trying not to cry.
To paraphrase Chairman Ann, it's amazing that women cite their emotional reaction to something as evidence something external is wrong, and fail to see how it's really evidence of how emotionally unbalanced they are.
This transcends an election. In my divorce, like many other men, my ex's emotional inventory of how victimized she felt was a seeming replacement for actual evidence.
