I haven't hung out here in a while. But tonight, for the first time, I think I ran into a red pill type in real life. I was at my favorite little take out place eating my usual when two people sat in the booth behind me. I didn't hear what they were saying before they sat down, but as they were getting settled I heard the man ask very loudly, as if he wanted everyone to hear, "Why don't you make your own decisions for once? Let's think about the science behind that. Why can't you pick where we sit?"

The woman, who is sitting pretty much back to back with me, replies in a barely audible whisper, "I... I don't know. I just wanted to make sure it was ok with you."

He ignored her and rants on, "It's like today, you did a lot of cleaning, a lot of laundry, very little decorating." And he continues to berate her but I've tuned out.

At this point I'm half turned around in the booth without even realizing it. I barely manage to keep myself from snapping, "Who the fuck are you talking to? Does he always talk to you like that?" But I managed to make myself leave without making a scene. It wouldn't have helped anyway. She would have just suffered for it later.

I'm not really sure my aim in posting this. I'm just pissed off that these things happen and that I couldn't do anything to help.
