Anyway, Mack isn't angry because the game has women in it.

He is upset because they added an unrealistic amount of women, to push a political agenda rather than because it provided value to the game.

I thought the video showed his point clearly, could you explain how his explanation seemed different to you?

Yes. Yes I did comment on my comment. That is how I roll.

He's angry about avatars and names in a videogame.

And who says it's a 'political agenda'? Maybe the developers put a 50/50 mix of genders in because that's pretty much the same split for the videogame-buying public. It makes business sense.

Also, it might not provide value to the game for him, but it might do to other players, like women who pick the game up.

Why does it even matter whether the avatars are men or women? If that breaks your immersion and "ruins the game completely", I don't know what to say. My god.

You're focusing too much on this one example and ignoring the meat of the conversation. He has an issue with people going out of their way to make certain changes, not because they think it's a good idea. But just to tick off a box.

Like how I would have no issue if some of the Ghostbusters where female. But they somehow felt the need to make an all female team. Going from one extreme to the other strikes me as incredibly odd.

Yeah I agree its a bit silly, just because there aren't any any women drivers in real life that doesn't mean there automatically shouldn't be in the game.

You just can't please anyone anymore. PC stuff might be out of control but anti-PC stuff is just as annoying. People need to realize that video games aren't real life and you can't always have it your way, there has to be a middle ground that people can compromise to.
