Hey there! So first things first, I know this is a bit of a shitpost and I apologize. I looked through the sidebar and all but didn't find what I looked for, so I just wanted to make a quick post asking some specific questions.
Here's the situation. I'm German, 21 years old, been supporting United since I was 10. The club has become a vital part of my life, but unfortunately, because of time restraints, a lack of money and the fact that I haven't been of age for too long I've never been able to attend a United match live. Only games I've been to in fact have been a couple of Werder Bremen games and those of my local club (from 3rd to 6th German division over the years).
As such, I have little knowledge about how to obtain tickets to big games. However I have set my mind to finally saving up enough money to fly to England and come see United. Now, the next period of free time I have from University starts in mid February, which leaves me with two very attractive options: Watford at home, and the away game against City. While I'd love to be at Old Trafford for a Match, I'd probably prefer to be there for the match against City and visit Old Trafford seperately. Basically, these are my questions:
How do I go on about obtaining tickets for the City - United game? Because obviously I'd want to be in the away section, which means it, as far as I understand, doesn't have anything to do with club membership, right? And overall, what third party options are best to obtain such tickets?
Can I realistically expect to still obtain tickets for the Watford/city game respectively? I know, weird question, it's just that I live in a rather secluded area of Germany with very little opportunities to see big club's matches, so I'm really not too knowledgable about how hard tickets are to come by at any given time when we're talking about a globally renowned English club.
Do I have to expect City United to be way more expensive than United Watford? Don't get me wrong, I'm not hestitant to spend to finally be able to see United, but I'm also just very limited in terms of financial means. If seeing the United - City game turns out to be more expensive by a very large margin there's a chance I just outright won't be able to set aside that amount of money.
Very grateful for any answers! And again, sorry for making a bit of a shitpost here, so most sincerely: don't upvote and bother the frontpage with this, just give a man with a plan a bit of a helping hand if you can!
